Welcome to your virtual field trip to Auschwitz.  Auschwitz, located in Poland, was a German concentration camp responsible for the death of approximately 1.1 million Jews from 1941-1945.  Notable prisoners included Anne Frank (Auschwitz casualty)  and Elie Wiesel, both of which would become famous for their first hand accounts of their experiences during the Holocaust.

The Holocaust is known as one of the widest spread and most deadly genocides in history.  Nearly 6.5 million Jews, Romanians, Russian POW’s, Homosexuals, and Political Enemies would be exterminated from 1940-1945 by Nazi Germany.

This site will take you through what remains at Auschwitz and will give you first hand accounts from Holocaust survivors who spent time within the walls of Auschwitz.
